Meet a new generation of deeply authentic, Southern-rooted songwriters shaping Nashville’s creative landscape. Julia Kate Snow offers Texas-bred, emotionally resonant Americana steeped in imagery, transformation, and motherhood; Maura Streppa blends Chicago grit with Southern charm through soulful vocals and honest storytelling that has earned national recognition; and Carlyle Griffin fuses blues, folk, soul, and Southern gothic into haunting, luminous music as she prepares to release her FAME Studios-recorded debut. Together, these three artists carry forward tradition while forging bold, distinctive voices that feel both timeless and urgently modern.
THE CONCEPT
Round On The Road is a touring all-female Nashville writers round featuring three critically acclaimed singer-songwriters who have earned national press, received major industry recognition, and written with some of Music City's most respected artists, joined each night by a local opener and guest writer from the community they're visiting.
After a powerhouse sold-out night at The Bluebird Cafe, described by staff as 'one of the best rounds we've seen in years,' these women decided to take their magic on the road.
More than just a show, Round On The Road is an intimate storytelling experience that brings the heart of Nashville songwriting to your audience. Each artist performs original music, shares personal stories, and weaves stunning harmonies throughout the night, joined by a local voice who adds their own color to the room.
This is not a girl group. This is three distinct artists who collaborate to help each other shine, and who open the door each night to a songwriter from the community they're visiting. The mission is simple: to lift one another up in an industry that doesn't always make that easy, and to connect deeply with audiences everywhere they go.
Women remain underrepresented on festival stages and national tours, and traditional writers rounds rarely travel beyond Nashville. Meanwhile, audiences are craving intimate, story-driven performances that feel real and connective. Round On The Road meets that need by creating a sustainable touring model for female songwriters that prioritizes collaboration over competition, while also creating a meaningful point of entry for local female songwriters in every city they visit.
